Kate’s holistic, therapeutic approach forms the base of her yoga teaching and practice. You will find her teaching combines Eastern philosophies with a contemporary, practical approach towards safe, functional alignment. Her steady pace of teaching and strong emphasis on detailed alignment cues has an Iyengar-style flavour to it, allowing the space required to really explore the depth of each pose within the flow.
Kate specialises in teaching a unique blend of Yin Yoga that combines Paul Grilley's anatomical teachings with Chinese Medicine philosophy and a Reiki healing touch. Yin Yoga is a beautiful complementary practice to the more dynamic yoga styles that are predominant today. Seated or reclining postures, supported by Reiki energy healing, are held passively for longer periods of time, accessing the deep fascial layers of the body. This gentle, meditative practice restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, opens up and enhances the body’s energetic flow and supports emotional equilibrium.
Kate's use of intelligent, intuitive sequencing and cues ensure classes are accessible for all experience levels and body types, empowering students to connect with their own inner healer and journey deep within.
